Identification and use of tea germplasm resourses in Hubei Provience

Abstract The principle economic characters of eleven sorts of endemic variety resources in Hubei Provinces were completely identified,which included their adaptability,phenological periods,fresh leaf product,processing quality and cold-resistance.The results were followed as:The peroid of the bud with single leaf of Early Wufeng liuye,Enan No.10,Hefeng No.15,Early Yihong etc. was earlier four to six days than that of Fuding Big and White(CK).The quality of green tea originated from Yuanxiang,Hefeng No.40 or Hefeng No.6 was excellent.Compared with CK,the output of Enan No.10,Hefeng No.15 and Yuanxiang increased 37.74%,33.90%,32.07%,respectively.Their output differences from CK reached the significance level.The appropriate plant areas and the main points about cultivating techniques of every cultivar were summarized in the paper.
